How to Wash Your A-Frame Camper

Owning an A-frame camper means that you’ve got a very convenient and compact way to camp in total comfort, no matter where you like to go. However, after several trips out into the wilderness, your A-frame trailer is liable to look pretty dirty and dingy. Not only is that grime aesthetically unappealing, but it can also hide maintenance issues and structural problems. Here’s how to get your A-frame clean.

Gather Supplies

You’ll want to have access to a source of water, like a garden hose, as well as a bucket, some soft sponges, a soft-bristle brush, dishwashing liquid or car-wash soap, and maybe some towels. Gather these things together before you begin, and park your A-frame securely on a flat surface with good drainage.

Rinse With Care

Use your hose to get the camper wet, but make sure that you aren’t using any kind of pressure-washing attachment or spraying the camper too hard, particularly at the A-frame joint. This could cause leaks. Instead, rinse gently and take care around the seams and joints.

Scrub & Rinse Again

You can mix some soap and water in your bucket and use a sponge to scrub at problem areas of the camper. A soft-bristle brush can help remove more stuck-on grime. Rinse the camper gently again and allow it to dry, or towel it off.
